Matar Paneer Curry {Green Peas and Cottage Cheese Curry}


       
               Easy to follow recipe for matar paneer curry. which is ready in 30 minutes.

   INGREDIENTS

  • 1TBSP BUTTER
  •  1/2 TSP CUMIN SEEDS 
  • 1/2  FENNEL SEEDS 
  •  2 CARDAMOM  
  •  2 CLOVES 
  •   1/2 INCH CINNAMON STICK 
  •    2 ONIONS ROUGHLY CHOPPED  
  •    3 TOMATOES ROUGHLY CHOPPED  
  •     1 TSP GINGER ROUGHLY CHOPPED  
  •     1 TSP GARLIC ROUGHLY CHOPPED 
  •     1/2 TSP RED CHILI POWDER 
  •     1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  •      3/4 TSP GARAM MASALA  
  •      1TBSP CORIANDER POWDER
  •       1 TSP KASURI METHI {OPTIONAL}  
  •       250 GRAMS OF COTTAGE CHEESE {PANEER} CUT IT INTO SQAURE  
  •       3/4 CUP OF GREEN PEAS { FROZEN OR FRESH}
  •       CORIANDER  FOR GARNISHING  
  •        SALT TO TASTE 

                               INSTRUCTION 

         1. HEAT BUTTER  IN A PAN  AND  ADD CUMIN SEEDS ONES THEY START TO CRACK  THEN ADD  FENNEL SEEDS, CARDAMOM, CLOVES, CINNAMON STICK. WAIT FOR FEW SECONDS.

       2. SAUTE THE  ONIONS FOR A FEW MINUTES TILL TRANSLUCENT AND ADD TOMATOES, GINGER AND GARLIC PASTE AND SALT. WAIT FOR SOME TIME THEN GRIND THE TOMATOES AND ONIONS.

     3. TAKE A PAN HEAT 1/2 TSP BUTTER NOW ADD TOMATOES AND ONION PASTE AND ADD 1/2 CUP WATER OR  ( AS PER REQUIREMENT). 

    4. NOW ADD REMAINING DRY INGREDIENTS, GREEN PEAS AND PANEER IN THE GRAVY STIR OCCASIONALLY. COVER THE PAN WITH THE HELP OF LID WAIT FOR 5MINUTES.

  5. SERVE THE MATAR PANEER GRAVY IN A SERVING BOWL GARNISH WITH CORIANDER. SERVE WITH ROTI AUR PARATHA.





                       NOTE: PANEER CAN BE REPLACED WITH THE TOFU
