Katori Chat|Street Food

                                                               KATORI CHAT


Katori Chat is a street food of INDIA, served in crisp snack deep fried bowl's, the bowl can be filled with potatoes, sprouts, finely chopped onions, Green chutney, Tamarind chutney, finely chopped Tomatoes,Sev, and Coriander Leaves. Easy to cook.



Ingredients:

                                                                          For Dough:

    2 cup maida or Wheat Flour 

    ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp oil, hot

  • water to knead

  • oil for frying

                                                             For Katori Chat 


    • 1 cup chickpea/chana, boiled

    • 1 potato / aloo, boiled & cubed

    • ¼ cup Tomato/Green Chutney

    • ½ cup tamarind chutney (Optional)

    • 1 cup curd/yogurt

    • sprinkle Kashmiri red chili powder

    • sprinkle cumin powder/jeera powder

    • 1 onion, finely chopped

    • 1 tomato, finely chopped

    • ½ cup sev

    • few coriander leaves

    • sprinkle chaat masala

    • sprinkle salt
     

Instruction

1. Firstly Prepare Maida Or Wheat Flour Dough (Dough Should Be Soft)
2. Now Pinch a ball size dough, and flatten it.
3. Dust Flour as required and roll slightly thick.
4. Prick the flattened dough with a fork.
5. Place a small Katori and wrap the dough.
6. Deep Fry in hot oil till Katori gets golden and crisp. 
7. Splash oil till the Katori separates from the dough.
8. Drain off over  Kitchen paper and keep aside.
9. Assemble Katories on a plate.


10. Add in 1tsp boiled chana, 1tsp boiled potato, Tomato Or Green Chutney, Tamarind Chutney, Curd, Finely Chopped Onion, Sev.
11. Sprinkle Chilli Powder, Cumin Powder and salt.
12. Garnish With coriander leaves.
