BAKED BREAD ROLL

BREAD ROLL

INGREDIENTS

1. 6 TO 8 BREAD SLICES ( I HAVE USED BROWN BREAD)
2. 1 POTATO (BOILED AND MASHED)
3. 1/2 TSP BLACK PEPPER
4. 1/2 TSP CUMIN POWDER
5. 1/2 CUP CHEESE
6. 1/2 TSP RED CHILI FLAKES
7. CORIANDER  LEAVES ( FINELY CHOPPED)
8. BUTTER
9. OIL
10. SALT

PREPARATION FOR BAKED BREAD ROLL

1. FIRSTLY BOIL 1 POTATO TILL IT COMPLETELY COOKED. PEEL IT AND KEEP ASIDE.

2. MASH THE POTATOES WHEN THEY ARE STILL WARM.

3. ADD 1/2 CUP OF CHEESE, BLACK PEPPER, CORIANDER  LEAVES, CUMIN POWDER, A PINCH OF SALT. GENTLY MIX ALL THE INGREDIENTS.

4.  KEEP IT ASIDE.

5. THINLY SLICE THE EDGES FROM THE BREAD.

6. WITH A ROLLING PIN, FLATTEN THE BREAD SLIGHTLY, APPLY LITTLE PRESSURE. IF ROLLED TOO MUCH THEN THE BREAD SLICE TEARS.

7. SPREAD A THIN LAYER OF BUTTER.

8. TAKE 2TSP OF POTATO -CHEESE STUFFING PLACE IT ON ONE SIDE OF THE BREAD.

9. BRUSH SOME WATER ON THE EDGES OF THE BREAD, OR YOU CAN USE YOUR FINGERTIPS TO APPLY SOME WATER ON THE EDGES.

10. NOW GENTLY COVER THE BREAD SLICE AND PRESS THE BREAD TO FORM A RECTANGULAR SHAPE. GENTLY PRESS THE EDGES.

11. PREPARE ROLLS THIS WAY, AND NO NEED TO GREASE THE BAKING TRAY.

12. APPLY SOME OIL ON THE ROLLS WITH THE HELP OF THE BRUSH. DON'T BRUSH TOO MUCH OIL BECAUSE BREAD  ABSORB  TOO MUCH OF OIL.


MAKING BREAD ROLL


13. PREHEAT THE OVEN AT 200 DEGREE CELSIUS/ 390 DEGREE FAHRENHEIT FOR 5 MINUTES, NOW PLACE THE BREAD ROLLS  IN OVEN FOR 10 TO 12 MINUTES OR TILL THE EDGES OF THE ROLLS GET BROWN

14. AS AN  OVEN TEMPERATURES VARY DO KEEP AN EYE. WHILE BAKING.

15. ONCE DONE REMOVE FROM THE OVEN.

16. SERVE THESE BREAD ROLLS WITH TOMATO KETCHUP, OR GREEN CHUTNEY.
